Storm Door Hardware

I notice much storm door hardware on upscale homes with brown tarnish. The homes, though often times in very upscale neighborhoods have door hardware that was once bright brass now is brown with tarnish and deterioration. From Home Products N More there are an assortment of finishes in PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) that literally will last a lifetime and look as good as new for years to come. What better way to make statement about your pride in home ownership than to show it the very first place a visitor lays hands on your door to enter.

Deer Avoidance

Several years ago I was traveling from Chicago, IL to Des Moines, IA. Just east of Davenport, IA there is a stretch of I-80 that the east and west lanes are separated by several hundred feet and the center is somewhat wooded. It was near dusk and a deer was running rapidly between the two lanes and began to come directly toward my auto until it was within about 300 or 400 feet of my auto and suddenly it turned abruptly toward the other lanes. I am of the opinion the Hornet Deer Whistle I was running at the time prevented a deer hit.

Hornet Deer Avoidance System

About 8 years ago, I was traveling through a small Iowa municipality around 3:00 PM. There was significant traffic and two deer approached the roadway near the opposite side of a 4 lane highway. I was not too close but switched my lights on (my Hornet was wired through my lights). Both deer immediately stopped in their tracks and looked across two lanes of traffic directly at my auto and turned and proceeded down the hill away for the roadway. I have been a believer ever since.
